Jamila Norman was previously in a marital relationship with her ex-husband. The former pair also welcomed three children.
Unfortunately, things might not have gone as planned, which led them to end their marriage.
Jamila and Her Former Husband Looked at an Array of Properties
Jamila and her ex-spouse had explored several properties. But while she was sieving through the internet, she was captivated by the Craftsman house built in the 1920s.
So, she instantly Googled it and sent a link to her Realtor. Then she asked if she could see the house. She fell for it online, and when Norman saw it in person, she immediately felt like, “This is my house.”
At first, she stripped the molding all over the house. Plus, it took months just to do her bedroom using nontoxic stuff.
Norman’s house included high ceilings, oversized windows, three fireplaces, crown and chair molding, and big, open rooms. She also added a new room and updated electrical and plumbing systems.
The TV personality said that the house was built on stage by stage. Even more, she also decorated the stages.
Norman doesn’t like to buy new stuff; she finds stuff that’s already used and is still useful. She also has a desk cabinet which belonged to her former husband.
Unfortunately, there is not much about her husband. However, as per Stars Offline, his name is Benjamin.

Jamila Norman Has Also Welcomed Three Children
Jamila Norman is a proud mother who has welcomed three sons. Unfortunately, it is now known if she had all of her kids with her former spouse. She also sometimes shares her son’s picture on social media.
Her first son is now 23 years old this year and was born in 2000. After two years, she welcomed another son into their family in 2002.
Then later, in 2004, her family was completed with the arrival of her youngest son, who is now 19 years old.
She now has raised all of them well and is busy maintaining her life in Atlanta, sharing her tips for starting her own vegetable garden.
As a mother, Norman is also particularly eager to demonstrate to her kids the wonder of the entire food-growing process.

Who Is Jamila Norman? Exploring Her Early Life
Jamila Norman has garnered a huge fan following after appearing on the TV show Homerown. She is now recognized as an urban farmer and food activist. She is a first-generation daughter of her Caribbean parents, whose history is rooted in agriculture.
Norman graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She spent her ten years in a professional career. After that, she dedicated her time to operating her independent, organic urban farm, Patchwork City Farms, which she founded in 2010.
She also represented the United States in Turin, Italy, at Slow Food’s Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in 2014.
Many publications have covered her and her farm, including Modern Farmer Magazine, SeedStock.com, The Library of Congress, and the Southern Foodways Alliance oral history project.
Jamila is also a founding member and the current manager of the South West Atlanta Growers Cooperative, a cooperative established in 2010 to support black urban farmers in Atlanta’s expanding urban agriculture movement.
In addition, she also cofounded the company Eat Move Be Well. The company focuses on offering more fresh and living goods in the diets.
