It has been over seventeen years, and the husband-wife duo shares the same love dedicated to each other they had in their early days.
Sean once shared an Instagram post celebrating their 15th anniversary with a lovely caption. Sean wrote, “A French Quarter parade 15 years ago…our wedding in 2006, the beginning of our parade together.”
He further added that he had always been content to sit to the side and watch the parade, but she was the parade. The actor quipped, “You made this wallflower bloom and grow…our 15-year parade continues…Happy Anniversary.”
Moreover, Sean was the one who stepped ahead and made the engagement proposal. During an interview with the Black Love podcast, he revealed that he proposed to her in front of her family in New Orleans.
Aonika said, “He thanked them for making him feel like family and wanted to make the family official, and so he shoved the ring right through yellow crawfish guts.”
Speaking of their marriage, they initially decided to marry in the fall of 2005 but had to postpone the nuptials due to Hurricane Katrina.
Moving ahead, they ultimately married in their favorite city, New Orleans, also the hometown of his wife, Aonika.
After spending several years together, Sean and Aonika’s love has only grown, and they strive to capture more beautiful moments.

They first experienced parenthood, welcoming Lola Jolie Thomas on May 16, 2008. After two years of their daughter Loa’s birth, Aonika gave birth to their son Luc Laurent Thomas on June 9, 2010.
Both the parents spare time from their busy work schedule and spend lovely family time with them.

Aonika Laurent is also involved in the showbiz industry, like her husband. Born on January 15, 1971, she comes from the land of New Orleans, Louisiana. The beautiful lady had her acting debut in High Frekquency, playing the role of Monica in 1998.
In 2005, Laurent landed her first breakthrough role in the superhero movie Fantastic Four. Her last acting project was Olympus Has Fallen in 2013, and she hasn’t appeared in any films or television series till now.
