The actress and comedian has appeared in multiple movies and TV shows where she amassed a massive fan base over the years. Many of her fans were, therefore, interested to learn more about her partner.

Despite the actress’s widespread popularity, she wants to keep her personal life, especially the one she shares with a partner, out of the spotlight.

Josie hadn’t made her partner public but eventually said that she had a proper boyfriend when she was 37 years old.

In an interview with Eve Magazine, Josie officially revealed that she had a proper partner when she was 36.

The comedian was irritated when every interviewer asked why she was not married or had a partner. That really annoyed her. She also gave an example of a theatre magazine where she gave an interview recently.

Josie thought they would ask about theatre, but they wanted to know about her relationship. Then she told Eve Magazine, “God, I’m so bored with it. My last proper boyfriend was four years ago.”

Josie said that she also went on dates and had partners in the past. But she was bored with this.

Started Her Career On Stage Show

Josie’s hard work and dedication toward her passions are really unbelievable, From starting a career on a stage show to skyrocketing her career in Television series and other own comedy shows.

Initially, she performed in many national and local shows from the best theaters in the nation. Her performance left the people stunned. As a result, she began to perform everywhere, from the Donmar Warehouse to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Josie didn’t stop here; she had also performed from the Birmingham Repertory Theatre to the West Yorkshire Playhouse and throughout the West End.

From that moment, her career hit the stratosphere as she also won the Peggy Ashcroft Award for working on The Taming of the Shrew. The actress also replaced the English singer Elaine Paige to work on The King & I.

Her work includes Much Ado About NothingAcorn Antiques the Musical, Moll Flanders, and many others.

Josie Lawrence skyrocketed her career as an actress and wrote her name in Hollywood as a successful star.

Throughout her career, she has been featured in different movies and series where she gave a stellar performance. In the early stage of her active career, she appeared in the Television film Sir Norbert Smith: A Life in 1990.

Josie was featured in Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Whose Line Is It Anyway? in 1992, which helped her to gain more followers.

The actress appeared in several more television roles in the nineties and the early 2000s, like the British drama series Fat Friends.

Continuing the movies of early 2000, she also featured in Keen Eddie and Robin Hood. Furthermore, Josie had also worked on the Television film Lesley Garrett: Notes From the Heart in 2001.

In 2005, she landed a role in a miniseries By the Pricking of My Thumb. Then two years later, she worked on The Old Curiosity Shop and Married 2 Malcolm.

Later she also started to work on the British Drama series Skins and Humans. In 2016, she acted in the Television miniseries The Kennedys.

Started To Work On Sitcom Show

After having an incredible career on the cinema screens, she started her own show named after her on Channel 4 and starred in the highly successful British sitcom Outside Edge with Timothy Spall and Brenda Blethyn.

The actress was also a famous guest on a comedy panel and quiz shows, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Loose Women, BBC Prom, and more.

Not only on television series and comedy shows, but she was also regular on the radio waves, mainly on BBC Radio 4, where she starred in Just a Minute, The Reluctant Persuaders, The Masterson Inheritance, and many others.

Josie pursues her career in different categories as she is also popular for narrating audiobooks. Especially for children, which includes the Little Miss series and other Jacqueline Wilson books.

Additionally, she also recorded her voice for adults on Sun at Midnight, Going Loco, and Jamaica Inn.

Worked With Multiple Non-Profit Organizations

Along with her career, she is also passionate about fundraising to donate to much-needed people. So, she worked with multiple charities using her profile to raise money.

Take the example of 2003; the actress spent eight months traveling around China, Cuba, Peru, and Tanzania to raise money for Breast Cancer people.

Josie had left her comfort zone and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for fundraising to help Sunfield, a school for children with complex needs.

As well as she raised money through a VIP-night performance of the play Hapgood in 2008. The actress also appeared on Who Wants to be a Millionaire for charity work.

Nonetheless, she also frequently participates in the Make School Make Sense program of the National Autistic Society. She constantly makes appearances for fundraising, just like this.
