The adorable couple of Jocelyn Hudon and Jake Manley got married on the 31st of October, 2021. Though their marriage was on Halloween, they had a lovely wedding with no horror story.

Many folks didn’t know that the pair who appeared in Hallmark’s Love In The Maldives were married in real life as well. Furthermore, this was not their first stint together as they were also cast members of Netflix’s The Order.

Married by a Zombie Dressed Elvis Presley Impersonator

The nuptials wouldn’t be a Halloween wedding if an Elvis Presley impersonator, who is dressed as a zombie, didn’t officiate it.

On October 31, 2021, Jocelyn Hudon and her husband, Jake Manley, shared marital vows at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. They said their “I do’s” in a Halloween wedding ceremony officiated by a zombie Elvis Presley.

They are not the first celebrity couple to get married in Vegas. Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez, Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker, and Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas are some well-known folks to have said “I do’s” in the Sin City.

Initially, Jocelyn had said that Toronto, Canada, was the place where the pair wanted to tie the marital knot. She further added that she would get a wedding dress from Say Yes to the Dress.

But the duo eventually decided all that planning was too much work, so they opted for a simple affair. The couple traveled to Las Vegas and decided to marry on Halloween.

Rather than Say Yes to the Dress, the Love In The Maldives actress purchased a black wedding dress from Etsy.

As per the beautiful actress, their marriage preparation was “extremely chilled & low maintenance.”

Although the notices were quick, they had a surprising number of guests who flew in last minute.

Furthermore, Jocelyn had to mentally prepare her mother for a strange wedding. She told her mom that they wouldn’t have a traditional wedding and would get married in a tunnel next to a Cadillac officiated by Elvis.

To Jocelyn’s surprise, the Elvis impersonator performed his duties duly, way beyond her expectations.

How Did It Begin for the Pair?

Jocelyn and her husband Jake Manley, initially met through their self-tape coach. In addition, the two also shared the same acting agent.

The now-married couple’s love story actually began when they drove together to their mutual agent’s summer party.

How their relationship started is like some sort of a scene out of a romantic movie. In the event, when Jocelyn was cold, her beau opened his trunk and brought her a sweater.

The sweater smelled good and fresh, and Jocelyn exclaimed, “This is from your trunk!?” and right away liked him after that. They officially started dating in 2015.

Moreover, deciding to bail on a party and stay at home to watch Lord of the Rings solidified their relationship. Jake’s wife has said that they are like yin and yang.

The married duo also shares a lot of things in common, from being goofy to making one another laugh.

Had a Gilmore Girls-Inspired Engagement

It is not every day that a person gets to have a Gilmore Girls-inspired engagement. After dating for five years, Jake Manley surprised his partner by asking her to marry him by recreating the Gilmore Girls‘ iconic scene.

On their five years anniversary, the lovebirds had driven six hours to their Airbnb, from Toronto to Montreal. After a sweaty walk up the six floors, the actress was quite shocked after reaching the rooftop.

To be precise, the actor had made arrangements for one thousand roses on the beautiful rooftop.

At first, Jocelyn thought it was either sent by the production or was a mistake. But then her husband said, “1,000 red roses,” and got down on one knee, popping the question.

Jocelyn and Jake Manley are yet to welcome children but are parents to their dog, Rupee.
