Woody McClain might have a dysfunctional family on-screen, but it is quite different in his real life. He was brought up in a tight-knit family and had a great bond with his parents and sibling.

Woody Has a Loving Mother and Father
Woody McClain was born on 14 May 1989 as Edward Woody McClain to his father, Edward Allen McClain, and his mother, Rosetta Robinson.
Edward and Rosetta, aka Roz, have been together for over three decades now. The adorable couple celebrated their 35th anniversary in March 2023.
Even after all this time, their affection for one another hasn’t grown old, and they still share the same old love.
As per Legit, Woody’s dad owns a non-profit organization, and his mom works in a transport company.
It is evident from their social media handles that Woody is grateful to his parents. On 2017’s Mother’s Day, he uploaded a photo of himself and his mother, expressing his love for her and stating he wouldn’t know what to do without her.
Roz also doesn’t forget to wish her actor son on his birthday. She considers him as her Mother’s Day gift.
Though Woody has a small family, his father was raised in a rather large family. Edward Allen was born to Reverend Edward A. McClain and Sallie S. McClain.
He has a brother named Troy and sisters named Valerie, Pamela, Katrina, Sheri, Carolyn, Netaya, and Michelle. Sadly, one of his siblings, Michelle, passed away on 13 May 2019 after battling cancer.
As for Rosetta, she was born to her lovely mother, Barbara, who celebrates her birthday in February.

Lovely Bond with His Sister
Alongside having supportive parents like Rosetta and Edward, Woody also has a lovely sister named Mercedes McClain. She studied at Santa Fe College.
Unfortunately, nothing much is known about her besides the fact she is 30 years old and her astrological sign is Virgo.
Apart from that, Mercedes also has a great relationship with her older brother Woody. She at times shares photos with him on her Facebook, and he at times leaves comments on her Instagram photos.
Mercedes also has an Instagram account with over 600 followers. Sadly, her previous account was hacked.
It is obvious from her social media posts that Mercedes is a fun-loving person. Most of her photos are either of her family or of her enjoying her life.

Born in Charleston, South California, Woody was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Then, he moved to Los Angeles with a dream of being a professional dancer.

Woody’s version of Kevin Hart’s “Permission to Cuss” skit was a massive hit that caught the comedian’s attention. In December 2016, Kevin signed Woody to ‘HartBeat Digital,’ his production company.
The talented dancer-turned-actor was first sent to BET’s The New Edition Story audition. He did great and landed the lead role of Bobby Brown.
After his success as Bobby, Woody went on to act in many other well-known projects, including Between Black and Blue, Training Day, You’re Sexist, and Death of a Telemarketer.
His popularity reached a new height with his role as Cane Tejada in Power Book II: Ghost.
