Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidjah Palmer, got engaged to Sidem Ozturk in the summer of 2022 during an authorized prison visit.
While fighting for his freedom behind bars in a Jamaican prison, he eventually found his love and focused on a fresh start.
Vybz Kartel and Sidem Ozturk’s Love Story
Initially, the couple called each other “hubby” and “wifey,” which eventually helped their relationship to take a further step.
In an interview with Fox 5 New York, Sidem Ozturk revealed that Kartel decided to get engaged. They were calling one another ‘hubby’ and ‘wifey,’ and he stated that they were heading toward marriage.
“So you calling me hubby or me calling you wifey is not serious enough,” he said. So he said Ozturk was his fiancee, and they were going to get married.
Ozturk worked as a social worker in London, where she helped children and people who were in need. She also studied psychology.
Leaving it all behind, she chose to move closer to the love of her life. She also served as Kartel’s muse for the EP True Religion.
Ozturk said he was smart, and she loved his heart. She added that he had an amazing heart which was just giving and loving.
She liked to call him her angel. “He’s an angel in my life. I can’t deny how happy he makes me feel,” she stated.
It was a dream come true for her to be in Jamaica and engaged to Addi. She said she still hadn’t processed it in her head. Given how wonderful it felt, she was at a loss for words.

Sidem Ozturk Has Been Corresponding with Vybz Kartel since 2015
Sidem Ozturk claimed that since 2015, she has been in contact with Kartel. But she didn’t get the chance to meet him until she visited Jamaica in 2019.
With Kartel in his second decade behind bars, it’s been no ordinary courtship. She stated it did cause some difficulties.
Mentioned the difficulties Ozturk explained; she couldn’t see him when she wanted, couldn’t talk to him every time she wanted.
She stated, “But when you know where your heart is at, it’s not that difficult, so I’m willing to wait.”
Sidem claimed that Kartel’s well-known charisma made up for the fact that they were unable to hold hands and make physical contact during visits due to his present incarceration.
Describing her visits, she stated that there was glass between them, preventing them from touching one another.
The couple just looked and talked through some little holes that were in the wood beneath the glass. It was not perfect, but the couple made the most of what they could. Ozturk further said that he was witty.
She said even when she was angry or upset about something, he knew how to turn that around, and he could just make her laugh and make her see the brighter side of things.

Vybz Kartel Previously Married Short Boss Muzik
Vybz Kartel was previously married to Short Boss Muzik and shared three sons, Akheel Raheim Palmer, aka Likkle Addi, Adidja Jaheim Palmer, aka Likle Vybz, and Aikodon Palmer, aka World Boss Jr.
However, their relationship didn’t work out, and they eventually split up. Despite the split, the former couple might have maintained a good relationship as, in January 2023, she wished him a happy birthday.
After viewing the post, one user penned, “I don’t care what anyone says this is the definition of family this is what I know and it will be what I accept from now on to the end of ti don’t care what the media says next.”

Besides three sons with Muzik, he has two other boys and two daughters, making him a proud father of seven.
Vybz’s daughters Adi’Anna Palmer and Amani Palmer, were born in April 2007 and February 2011. Unfortunately, the information about the other two sons of Vybz Kartel remains a mystery.

In May 2020, Vybz Kartel’s son Likkle Addi shared a photo on Instagram and soon after deleted what was apparently a baby shower and birthday party for the young pregnant woman.
Vybz also posted a photo of his son and the pregnant woman. “Congrats to me son and daughter and extended family #newgeneration #gazanation #whovex #gazarmy #1don,” he captioned the post.
In September 2021, Vybz’s grandson Adidja Adiem Palmer was born. In March 2022, he posted his grandson’s picture, captioning the post, “Bless up mi Grandson #GAZANATION di boy a get big like a house @ just 6months.”
Kartel is a family guy and often enjoys quality moments with them.
