Continuing the Legacy of the Robertson Family

Recently, Jessica Robertson shared a picture of River on her Instagram back in February and announced that he was now following the Robertson family legacy.

“Following his dad, uncles, and papaw’s (her dad), he also plays golf. Jep and I were just talking the other day that if my daddy were still alive, he would be so excited that River’s into golf now,” she penned.

Further, she added, “He would’ve loved picking his grandson up and hitting the golf course and afterward having a burger in the clubhouse.”

Jep Early Life Was Not Easy

Jep Robertson’s life was not easy in childhood despite being born into a renowned family. He was abused by an older girl while traveling on the grade school bus when he was only six years old.

That incident made him skip school, often feigning illness. Moreover, he made the wrong friends at the age of eighteen and was addicted to narcotics and alcohol.

Jep’s family was compassionate and supported him while he overcame his addiction. One day, Willie, his older brother, left a note on his truck mentioning that they needed to talk.

When he reached there, all of his family members were present there to talk to him. His family gently asked him to get out of the addiction and become a family man. That changed his life and improved his lifestyle, and he returned to his family.

Jep also wrote a book with his wife, The Good, the Bad, and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family, and Forgiveness. They explained their negative experience and how they solved them with the aid of religion.
