Dr. John Delony is living a blissfully married life with his wife, Sheila Delony. The couple has been enjoying their marital bliss for many years now.
Even after being together for more than two decades, their love and admiration for one another has not withered. In 2023, the smitten couple celebrated 26 years of togetherness.
John Delony and His Wife’s Love of 26 Years
Well, Delony is quite lowkey about his romantic life, but he first showed his wife and kids on an Instagram post in April 2020. The mental health expert didn’t reveal about their marital life then.
But they have been together for a long time, as his other half had made a post about their 26th anniversary. In 2023, it had been 26 years since their first date in October 1997. Many people congratulated them on their date anniversary.
Moreover, his wife, Sheila Delony, has supported him throughout his career, and the doctor expressed his thanks to her on Instagram. The love birds had gone on a giant conference.
Delony wrote artistic and articulate verses describing how his lover was holding him together. He further added that she was his partner in crime and his ride-or-die.
Further, Mrs. Delony shared the history between them. She penned, “Age-old story: Heavy metal boy meets country music girl. They find love in punk folk sing-alongs. [SIC]” She also thanked him for introducing Frank Turner into her life.

Delony and Sheila are Proud Parents of Two Children
In all these years of being together, the duo was gifted with two children, a son and a daughter. However, Sheila and her husband have yet to reveal the names and faces of their beautiful kids.
Their daughter was born in December 2015 and is 7 years old as of 2023. However, their son’s date of birth is yet to be divulged.
On Instagram, she revealed her son enjoyed good books, easy strolls, and hefty doses of alone time. The former instructor also added that her kids can sometimes make her wild, but they are very lovable.
Furthermore, their daughter is a brilliant, gritty, beautiful, hilarious girl who is obsessed with wolves.
The mental health expert was grateful that god let him be her father and also wrote a touchy line regarding the children and their speed of growth.
Nevertheless, Delony and Shelia lead a productive and prosperous family life.

Sheila Was a Teacher for More than 2 Decades
Delony and Sheila are both Ph.D. holders. She first of all received her master’s degree in Language and Literacy from Texas Tech University. Then, earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the same university.
Further, she has more than twenty years of experience as an elementary school teacher, university professor, and instructional coach. Her teaching career began at New Caney Independent School District, where she taught there for almost two years.
After gaining experience, she moved on to another institute and instructed there for more than 4 years. Her journey didn’t stop there as she became an Assistant Professor at Abilene Christian University for more than half a decade.
The ex-instructor then again worked in the previous institute, Lubbock Independent School District, as an Instructional Coach for 5 years before becoming self-employed as a life coach.
Now, Mrs. Delony is an independent and self-sufficient lady working as a life coach and a writer. She is the proud author of four books: This Year, Teacher’s Prayers of Blessing, Liturgy, and Lament.
