After moving on from Carly, her former partner, Pete Davidson, moved on and was in a relationship with author Cazzie David. They dated for two years, from May 2016 to May 2018.
After his relationship with Cazzie ended, he began his relationship with the singer Ariana Grande the same year he broke up with Cazzie.
A few months after their romance, Carly’s former beau was rumored to have planned an engagement proposal. According to E! News, Pete had bought a dazzling three-carat pear-cut engagement ring designed by jeweler Greg Yuna.
But he did not reveal who it was for. However, the dust would soon settle after Ariana supposedly confirmed their engagement news on Twitter.
As a result, her tweet received mixed responses from her fans and followers, including Pete’s ex-girlfriend Carly. At the time, a netizen had texted the news to the stand-up comedian.
The text read, “I Know I’m the nine billionth person to text you about this, but… I can’t.,” to which the internet personality responded, “HAHHAHAHAAH,” and captioned the post in her story, “My day in a text message.”

Pete’s photographer, Marcus Russel Price, shared the fun-filled night, posting a mirror selfie of him and the former partners.
The exes were set to perform a comedy set, and both seemed to be in a good mood and getting along just fine.
Carly and Pete started dating in late 2014. At the time, the ex-partners shared snaps featuring each other on social media.
But, the post would soon disappear after their relationship ended. Further, neither of them disclosed the reason behind their split.
