French-Swiss pastry chef Amaury Guichon got married to Fiona Bergson in December 2020, and she described it as a ‘covid wedding.’ She gave insights into their marriage and other details of their relationship on her Instagram stories.
Fiona wrote on Instagram, “We did a ‘covid wedding’ last year around Christmas but will celebrate with all our closest friends when everything gets back to normal hopefully in Canada.”

An Intimate Wedding Ceremony
The duo shared messages over a few months before meeting. The moment they laid eyes on one another, sparks flew. It was love at first sight for them.
They became fast friends, and eventually, their friendship evolved into a relationship.
While the exact information regarding when the couple began dating remains a mystery, they were smitten and never shied away from sharing lovely images of them together.
The couple eventually tied the knot in December 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. They invited only a few guests to minimize the chances of coronavirus spread.
As mentioned earlier, they intended to have a larger wedding when everything went normal.
Meeting Fiona Changed His Life for Good
In December 2021, Amaury sat down with Mashed for an exclusive interview where he revealed that the biggest turning point of his life was meeting Fiona.
The pastry chef stated, “I think the biggest turning point after that was meeting my wife, who was able to give me, how to say, the confidence I needed to become the chef I am today.”
He further added that she was able to work behind the scenes, made sure he could focus on the craft, and she took care of everything.
Guichon said, “Because most of the time, as a chef, you have to do every single aspect, which doesn’t allow you to be able to really focus time on what you’re good at, which is your craft, creativity, recipe making, et cetera.”
So, after he met Fiona, he was able to do everything, which is why it was the latest turning point in his life.
Furthermore, one of his creations in School of Chocolate, the snow globe, is a representation of one of his classic desserts called The Fiona, which he did for his wife. It is an all-white dessert based on vanilla and almond flavor.
Fiona is also a secret ingredient to his success, as he met her at a crucial point in his career. She helped him on a personal and professional level to make him the man he became.
Fiona and Amaury Were a Perfect Couple, and Here’s Why
Amaury Guichon’s wife not only supported him in his career, but she also directly contributed to it. She works as a professional photographer.
So, all the stunning pictures of cake and chocolate creations on Amaury’s Instagram page were mostly taken by her. In May 2018, she shared a post and captioned, “He creates / I capture.”
The couple worked closely together in the kitchen, so they were able to spend a lot of time together. They also traveled together for work.
According to Mashed, she shared a video of a work trip to Thailand a few years ago. She admitted that since they were together all the time, there was little space for keeping secrets. Their relationship went beyond what they watched on cinema screens or read in any book.

It has been some time since fans noticed Fiona’s activity on Instagram dramatically decreased. While she used to post often on her social media in the past, she has now been sharing only a few, mainly about her work or hobbies.
Likewise, the couple also deleted the pictures of one another on their social media. So, fans were curious about what was going on.
Eventually, Fiona revealed that they had separated by sharing a photo of a man named Francois Delaire.
She captioned the post saying, “Sneak peek of a lovely weekend in Santa Catalina with my sweet @francois.delaire and our favorite third wheel @oncle.jim.tattoo.”
Bergson further added, “Life is full of surprises… and I feel so blessed to have found someone so honest, humble, devoted and caring…”
She has since shared other portraits of her beau and even has an Instagram highlight named F+F, where she has captured their adorable moments.
Furthermore, Fiona’s relationship status on her Facebook page reads that she is “in a relationship with Francois Delaire.” On the other hand, it seems like Amaury has not updated his relationship status.
Nevertheless, it remains a mystery why the couple parted ways. Neither of the party has opened their mouth regarding it.
